A friend ask me how to enable task manager in Win XP. His PC task manager got disabled by malware. Whenever he right click on taskbar, he will see a gray out “Task Manager”. Even he press CTRL + ALT + DEL, it will pop up “Task manager has been disabled by your administrator”
To enable task manager in Win XP, follow the steps below:-

- Click Start -> Run -> type “regedit”
- Look for
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- Look for a name “DisableTaskMgr” and change it’s value to “0”
- Reboot your machine and your task manager will be back.
